Each app opens in the browser and can be added to the phone's home screen like a normal app. The interface of the "Steps" apps is in Russian or English (your choice), the explanations are written for Russian speakers.

What works offline

Works without internet

  • Opening the app, once it has been opened or installed online at least once.
  • Words and grammar of every level you have opened before: the app keeps a copy on the phone.
  • All games, flashcards, quizzes, grammar exercises and statistics.
  • Your progress: it is always saved on the device first, and sent to your account automatically when you are back online.
  • Pronunciation, as long as your phone has a voice for that language installed (most phones do).

Needs internet

  • The very first opening of the app, and opening a level for the first time.
  • Registering or logging in with your email.
  • Syncing progress between your phone and another device.
  • In Nine Scripts: the optional AI features (adding words from a photo, generating word lists).
  • Watching the YouTube lessons.

Tip: before a trip, open the app online once and tap through the levels you want to study. After that, everything you tapped works on the plane.

With an account

Register with an email and a password inside any Steps app or in Nine Scripts. Your progress then follows you to any phone or computer: log in with the same email and password. There is nothing to pay.
